Colin Wright
Founder & Board Director
Colin Wright was born and raised in Kaysville, Utah. Colin was the middle of five children and was raised by amazing parents, Denise and Gary Wright. In that home, Colin learned about charity, the true nature of Christ, obedience, hard work, service, the importance of education, impulse control and humility.
After graduating from High School, God called Colin to serve in the Trujillo Peru mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Chimbote,where spent two years teaching the people about Jesus Christ and His restored Gospel. While there, Colin learned about Christ and His restored Church. Colin met some of the greatest people in the world. Upon returning from his mission, Colin married his High School sweetheart, Randi Wright. They are the parents of five children.
Colin received a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Utah and Master’s Degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. Colin was named to Utah Business’ and Professional Builders’ 40 under 40. Colin Wright founded C.W. Group in 2016 and currently oversees all seven business lines (www.cwgroup.com).
Because of his many “unearned” blessings Colin feels an immense burden to share the blessings that he has been given and has the immense desire of creating Denis Wright Scholarship as a gratitude of his mom’s teachings.

Ivon Huerta
Executive Director
Ivon was born and raised in Chiclayo, Peru. Moved to Piura to get her bachelors in Business Administration at the UDEP.. After graduating, Ivon had the desire to learn English and moved to Utah to study a new language. Then, she went back to Peru and built her professional career working for more than 10 years in her field.
In 2019, Ivon became a mom and felt motivated to pursue her master degree abroad for a better future for her little family. Ivon did her Master's in Public Administration with a focus on Nonprofit from Brigham Young University. Fueled by gratitude for personal and professional growth, she passionately serves the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints members in Peru through the DWS program, as the Executive Director. With a background in business Administration and experience in the Nonprofit sector, Ivon brings excellent communication, leadership, and service skills to the forefront.

Roxanna Macedo Berrospi
Program Coordinator
Roxanna was born in Puno, Peru. She is married and a mother of four children. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialization in Language and Literature, as well as additional specializations in Languages and studies in Architecture. From a young age, she began teaching English to children. With over 18 years of teaching experience, she has worked as a lecturer at the National University of the Altiplano, contributing to the design of English language learning methodologies using the McMillan and Cambridge methods.
In 2007, she moved to Lima with her entire family, where she specialized in teaching the English language and completed diploma programs in the field of learning disabilities. Her passion lies in educating youth, and her goal is to assist members of the Church seeking to attain a better education. Due to her professional background in teaching and learning, she brings excellent skills to career development for the DWS scholarship program.

Alicia Pérez
Program Assistant – IR Specialist
Alicia was born in Tarija, Bolivia. She studied Commercial Engineering in La Paz. She worked in the media industry in her country from a very young age. She is the mother of four children: Santiago, 17 years old, Elías, 14, Amir, 10, and Canela, 8. Since 2010, she has been living in Lima with her husband and children.
Alicia is convinced that education can change lives and communities, especially when academic preparation is put at the service of society. Alicia studied while working and knows that with organization and genuine desire, anything is possible.
She greatly enjoys family life and spending time with her children, taking them to their various activities. She misses the food of her country but is very grateful to live in Peru, one of the countries with the best cuisine in the world.
Working on the scholarship has been an answer to Alicia's prayers; she is very happy and excited to meet the extraordinary individuals who won the Denise Wright scholarship and to accompany them in the process.
Alicia joins the DWS team to help them in their professional development, networking, and partnering with outstanding educational institutions that align with our mission.

Betty Díaz
Psychologist
Betty was born, raised, and educated in Chiclayo. She is the second of seven siblings and had the blessing of growing up in a home with pioneer parents who were members of the LDS church. She is the mother of Carol and Angelo, who have achieved personal and professional development with honesty and values, for which she feels very grateful.
She entered university at the age of 45, obtaining her degree in Psychology at the age of 50. For her, it was the fulfillment of her most cherished dream: to help others resolve emotional problems, which she considers the foundation for comprehensive human development. Her work experience in schools and NGOs has allowed her to empathize with, understand, and assist those in need. Currently, she attends to clients in a private practice.
She has a strong testimony of the gospel and is grateful for the blessings and challenges that God has placed in her life, including the current one of being part of this wonderful and incredible Denise Wright scholarship program and serving as the psychologist for the scholarship recipients.

Carol Díaz
Executive Assistant & Event Coordinator
Carol was born in Chiclayo, studied Business Administration in Piura, and worked for over 15 years in a multinational company in the technology industry in Lima. During this time, she excelled in developing soft skills, conflict management, and immediate problem-solving. Then, at the age of 29, she got married, resigned, and with the support of her husband, they formed a beautiful family with two children, who are now 14 and 10 years old, Alonso and Camila. Both knew that a mother's love could not be replaced.
Now, with her two children already on their way and with strong Christian values instilled, she feels she can once again dedicate herself to contributing to society and to the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and she accepts the position of event coordinator for Denise Wright. Carol stands out for her negotiation skills, problem-solving abilities, and leadership; she is very organized. Therefore, she will organize the two most important scholarship events, as well as various integration activities, such as leadership groups.
Thanks to her experience, quick decision-making, and the passion she puts into all her projects, Carol has the necessary knowledge to contribute to the development of the Denise Wright scholarship program.
