About Denise Wright

Colin Wright, the founder of this program and a faithful and long serving member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, established this Scholarship honoring his mother's teachings about education, Denise. She is one of the most charitable human beings on earth.  Over the years, Denise opened her home to hundreds of refugees and visitors.  Denise valued education and always pushed her son, Colin to excel in his education.  Colin served his LDS mission in Peru. Indeed, Denise instilled in Colin vital characteristics that were needed for him to be successful in Peru, including hard work, love of others, patience and a giving heart. 

The Denise Wright Scholarship is focused on helping members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Peru to pursue higher education.
